SKYLA SPENCER Keeps On the Go This Spring!

Nashville, TN (April 5, 2010) – Winter Creek Records artist, songwriter, professional dancer, and choreographer SKYLA SPENCER is stepping into spring with a run of shows throughout April and May! The momentum began in late February when Skyla attended Country Radio Seminar 2010, where she was interviewed by several media and radio outlets including America’s Freedom Broadcast Network and Strum magazine.

This weekend, Skyla has two scheduled appearances at the Southern Women’s Show: she will perform at the Nashville Convention Center on Saturday, April 10 at 6:30 PM and Sunday, April 11 at 12:30 PM. The following Saturday, April 17, Skyla will kick off the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball game at Vanderbilt University at 2 PM with her rendition of “Star-Spangled Banner.”

On April 24, Skyla will once again be performing at the Country Music Marathon and ½ Marathon. Springing forward to May 15, Skyla has a performance at The Muse (Address: 835 4th Ave S). This is an all-ages show and will start at 6:30 PM. For ticket information, please visit

In between shows, Skyla continues to host and teach line dancing at the World Famous Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville!She also combines two of her passions – music and dancing – as a choreographer. After choreographing a line dance to her own single, “This Girl,” a film crew captured footage of Skyla teaching the dance live at the Wildhorse Saloon. Following her video shoot, Skyla choreographed a line dance for “Stuck,” the debut single from Stoney Creek Records’ Ash Bowers; the dance can be seen here: Most recently, Skyla has choreographed a line dance to “Thump Thump Thump” for Blaster Records duo Brother Trouble.

In other exciting news, look for Skyla to make her movie debut in Bailey, which is due to release sometime this year. She was cast for a role as a dancer in the upcoming movie starring Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile).

Skyla made her debut on the Music Row Country Breakout Charts in late 2009 with her energetic “girl power” single release, “This Girl”!! In addition, “This Girl” also charted within the Top 40 on the New Music Weekly chart, Top 25 on the overseas-based Host Disc charts, AND #1 on the Indie World Country Chart! Skyla went on to score her very first nomination for the New Music Weekly Awards, in the Country Breakthrough Artist of the Year category!
